District 70 Committees

District Officers and Service Committee Chairs have two-year terms (not including time
served to fill vacancies, if applicable), with elections to be in the fall of even numbered
years, with terms to begin at the first meeting of odd numbered years. (Example:
elections held in Fall 2026 would be for a 2-year term starting Jan 2027).

They should have a home group within the district, are voting members of the District
General Service Committee, and regularly attend the District monthly meetings.

Any elected Officer or Service Committee Chair who misses 3 consecutive meetings
without providing interim reports will be considered an inactive member. After the
absences, the position will be listed as open, and the District membership will replace
these inactive members by the stated voting procedures.

Vacancies may occur by withdrawal by the individual, by broken sobriety, or by election
to dismiss at a District meeting by voting members.

Second terms are allowed, if there is no qualified replacement found after a diligent
search for nominees. If there are Co-Chair positions, only one vote for the position may
be rendered.
